Filter for peeler centrifuges

In general, when it comes to filter cloths for peeler centrifuges, we differentiate between simple rectangular filters and welded, cylindrical endless filters. Depending on the groove geometry in the centrifuge drums and the clamping system used, our cloths are made up accordingly. Basically, we differentiate between crescent-shaped, rectangular and square drum grooves.

Cloth manufacture is primarily based on the use of our double-layer fabric concept made of polypropylene (PP) or polyetherketone (PEEK). Thus, the filter cloths, in different pore sizes, can be used universally for all known solvents in the pH range from 1- 14. Double- layer, antistatic fabrics are also available for non-polar solvents.

Advantages of the welded endless filters:

• no erection of the overlapping point as with a square-wave filter
          -> cloth is not caught by the peeling knife
          -> less product loss through bypass flow
          -> more product yield
• the paring knife can be retracted deeper towards the drum
       -> the remaining residual layer is smaller and can therefore also be blown off more easily pneumatically
       -> the remaining layer compression is also lower
